MagneRide

Electronic suspension technology for performance vehicles

Orchestrating engineering change for high-performance suspension

The buyer’s problem

MagneRide runs on premium and performance vehicle platforms. It has to keep evolving while holding to strict standards for quality, reliability and manufacturing readiness. At BWI Group, an automotive technology company with roots in Delco and Delphi, manufacturing engineers, product managers, engineering directors and the design center all shaped each change. The opportunity was to have them work as one team instead of separate functions.

Manufacturing readiness

How it led to ORCHESTR8

This engagement was an early step toward ORCHESTR8, the StratfordX approach to coordinated execution. It showed that complex engineering and commercialization problems can be solved by orchestrating people, processes, technology and decisions around one shared objective. Technology connects systems. Orchestration connects people, decisions and outcomes.

The outcome

A coordinated PLM approach that strengthened collaboration across engineering, product management and manufacturing, and a stronger foundation for managing change on a product already established in the market.
